Saving Spark

Bring me into the light,
Lead me out of the dark,
I didn't know how dark it was,
Until I saw that spark,

I pulled the matchbox from my pocket,
I forgot I put it there,
And I'm struggling to light a match,
To light one single flare,

I saw the light and it was beautiful,
It made me want to live,
I got a flash of my surroundings,
And reality's back again,
In the dark it's just too easy,
To pretend a lie's the truth,
To pretend you're somewhere else,
To completely change the rules,

Bring me into the light,

The shadows cower in the corners,
